    bright light for my flagpole
I recently purchased the Solar Flag Pole Light Outdoor for my house flagpole, and overall, I’m quite impressed with it. The quality is truly standout—it’s well-made and sturdy, which gives me confidence it will withstand various weather conditions. The installation process was a breeze with the included spacers and bracket that fit perfectly on my 3-inch flagpole. The brightness is excellent, and it really makes our American flag shine brilliantly from dusk to dawn. However, I have noticed some variability in battery life; on overcast days, the light doesn’t stay on as long as I’d hoped. I appreciate the multi-angle precision focus feature that illuminates the flag beautifully from different corners. While it performs well most of the time, I’m not entirely sure it’s the best value for its price. But if you’re seeking an easy-to-install, bright, and durable flagpole light, this is a solid choice.

Solid unit, well built. Incredible packaging!
Of all the products I have ever purchased from Amazon, this is by far the best packaged and solidly put together box I have ever seen.Putting it together was somewhat of a puzzle. I ended up referring to the Amazon page for the pictures and design photos to see how it all fits together. Really! The directions were lacking for sure but does show a picture and various mounting applications for the unit. The various lights you can choose from are fantastic. And it does keep a charge “ALL NIGHT LONG “. You will need to select the light mode you want for your setup. Once you do that the light will turn on at dusk and go out at first light or when the sun comes up. Awesome!Overall I like the light setup. It works great and I especially am impressed with the size of the solar panel. The stability is awesome while mounted. And its appearance on my flag pole is nice. All in all I’m happy! Thnx!

    flag light
eazy to install. light is bright but battery does not last through the night

  4. G. Sednarb

    Well made
Light lasts all night and has brightness control plus solar panel is separate from light.

  5. HappyKayaker

    Super Bright
This kit was easy to put together (instructions included for mounting on a stake, a wall, or directly on the flagpole. The oversized charging panel easily keeps the included rechargeable battery fully charged. Very happy with it so far. All the components are hefty and made of metal. Not a cheap sketchy toy. Seems to be likely to last a long while.

    Weak Light
The best thing about this light is the connector between the solar panel and the light fixture – it fits snug and then has a locking sleeve that slides down over it. Otherwise, I’m very disappointed in the performance. Even after charging all day in the sun the light only lasts about three hours before shrinking down to about 2 inches. That’s right, after about three hours the Illumination begins to shrink till it is only about 2″.

    Excellent
This lighting makes the flag come alive a night.

Loved the light but it stopped working at night
I liked it at first, worked great and install was easy. Unfortunately 3 months in the light will not stay on. It turns on if I hold in the button but won’t stay illuminated like it used to.Would love to talk to the seller and would update my review if its user error somehow.

  9. Amazon Customer

I’ve been using the solar-powered flag pole light to ensure my flag is properly illuminated, and it’s been an excellent addition. The high-strength bracket fits securely on my flagpole, and the multi-angle focus makes sure the flag is brightly lit no matter the weather or time of day. With two lighting modes, I can choose between high and low brightness depending on the occasion. On special days like Independence Day or Memorial Day, the ultra-bright mode really helps the flag stand out beautifully at night. The solar panel charges quickly, and the 5200mAh batteries provide hours of continuous lighting. Even on cloudy days, the light stays bright for a long time. The materials are durable and waterproof, so I haven’t had to worry about any damage from rain or harsh conditions. The setup was straightforward, and the included mounting accessories made it easy to install. This light has been a reliable way to honor the flag, keeping it visible and respected at all hours.

The Ofuray Flag Pole Light Solar Powered, Solar Flag Pole Lights Outdoor IP65 Waterproof, Canadian Flag Coverage Led Dusk to Dawn Fit 0.5″-4” Flagpole for House Ingroundis solidly built, has a metal housing and is very hefty. The solar panel is also pretty decent quality. The C mounting brackets for the light and panel are pretty typical, nothing special although adequate for the job, but the mounting brackets and hardware for attaching to a flag pole are quite impressive. Very good quality and well engineered!I turned on my light on high around 10pm after a full day of charging and it was pretty dim by 6:30am so I’d say it has good runtime but dims the longer it is on. Should go longer if using the low setting. (You can select simply by pressing the button on the back of the light and cycle through High – Low – Off repeat).I’m always weary of solar lights as I just don’t know what I’m going to get in terms of brightness; solar lights tend to be on the dim side in exchange for longer runtime. This light is VERY bright, like plug-in light equivalent brightness. I am very impressed with the light output, easily light up a flag or walkway or side of a building with this light, I lit up the top of a tree in my neighbour’s yard with this light, it is almost like a search light in terms of beam width, not quite as bright but very concentrated. I really like it.Even on the low setting it’s a very good usable light.Comes with hardware and mounting brackets for pole mount and wall mount as well as stakes for ground mounting.A very good, well made light that’s perfect for lighting a flag etc in a remote area that does not have power. The ~$110 price tag may seem a bit high but you are getting value for your money!

This Ofuray Flag Pole Solar Light comes in a package that is well equipped with a variety of hardware for different mounting options. At first impression, this appears to be a well built and quality product. Everything is in metal/aluminium-there are no plastic pieces. While this is marketed/sold as a light for illuminating a flag on a flag pole, the different mounting options allow it to be used for illuminating almost anything outside: an ornamental tree or shrub, dark driveways or pathways or just for general landscape lighting. There are three mounting options with the included hardware:1. Metal brackets and bolts for mounting both the light and solar panel to a (flag)pole (0.5 to 4 inches in diameter)2. Mounting both the light and solar panel on the ground with the two sturdy metal ground spikes.3. Mounting the light and solar panel directly onto a wall surface. The cable that connects the solar panel to the light is only about 40 inches long, so this unfortunately limits their placement; you would not be able to, for example, put the solar panel further away from the light for aesthetic reasons. The housing of the light head is made of aluminum metal and contains 7 large cold-white LEDs. The rechargeable 5200 mAh Li-ion battery is also contained inside the light giving it a hefty weight. The unit looks well sealed and is rated IP65, meaning dust and water resistant. The Power button is located on the back of the light and is protected with a vinyl cover. The aluminium-framed solar panel is sizable, measuring 11 in X 7 in size, a necessity to quickly charge the large capacity battery. It is supposed to be a high conversion efficiency solar panel, but for some reason the build quality doesn’t appear to be as high as that of the lamp. There is some excess caulking/sealant oozing out from under the aluminum frame on the face of the solar cell and the aluminum conductor wires are not even and straight.I have not yet installed the light outside but I did do some testing for this review. First, to ensure the battery was fully charged, I left the solar panel in front of the back patio door (facing west) for three days with the light switched off. On the third night, I switched the light on (there is a sensor on the solar panel that prevents the light from turning on during daylight). There are two brightness settings for the light and this can be changed by pressing the Power button which cycles the light from high brightness –> low brightness –> Off. On the high setting, the light is surprisingly bright! From my patio door I was able to clearly light up my back fence 40 feet away and even beyond into the neighbor’s back yard. Pointing it upwards, I could light up the very top branches of my maple trees. The light beam does not spread out a lot but is more focused like a spotlight rather than a floodlight. Even the low brightness setting which I find is only marginally less bright than the high setting, I could still light up my back fence. I left the light on set on high brightness to test how long the battery would last. After 4 hours, the light was still as bright as the initial brightness. After 6 hours on high brightness, the light had dimmed somewhat but was still quite bright. I fell asleep sometime after that, and very early the next morning the light was off even though it was still dark outside—the battery being completely drained, so I could not determine the exact duration of the light. The manufacturer claims 8 hrs on high brightness setting and 12 hours at the low brightness setting, which may be realistic based on my quick test.Overall, this appears for the most part to be a well-built high quality solar light kit justifying the high price ($110 at the time of this review). I can’t speak yet on its long term durability, but there is a two year manufacturer’s warranty. The battery is one component that I see could wear out and it doesn’t seem to be easily replaceable.

I wanted to use this as landscape lighting to provide light to the area of the waterfront at the back of our property. I looked at an electrical light, but I didn’t want to be limited to location, so this light was the answer. In deciding to try this light, I looked carefully at the pictures before ordering. They indicate that the light provides an expanded beam of light over distance. I found the beam expansion to be limited. It would have been neat to have the ability to adjust the beam, but maybe that’s too much to ask for an IP65 device. It’s a quality product with solid construction, is attractive, and is easy to assemble and to deploy. The solar panel is a generous size, and the light is bright. It’s well designed and really easy to put together; just attach a bracket to the solar panel, put the stakes in the ground, and attach the panel and light to the ground stakes. The stakes are really solid, making them easy to push into the ground to try different locations. I had things set up in less than 20 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. I think it would be just as easy to set up on a flag pole. There are two different light levels. I didn’t find much variance between them. I chose the lower light level, as it’s supposed to allow the light to stay on 4 hours longer. It was on the full night (about 10 hours after charging a full day in the sunlight) and went off at dawn. Talk about plug and play!I’m very pleased to have this located at the waterfront. I found myself checking it overnight. 🙂 I think this is a great addition to our property!
